RMANJ specializes in various types fertility treatments in NJ involving the most recent and effective procedures in assisted reproductive technology (ART). Our goal is to help you achieve a healthy pregnancy and delivery in the shortest time possible. We’ll be there every step of the way to provide care that is right for you. Once you decide to seek fertility treatment, your RMANJ physician will design a treatment plan tailored to your specific situation.
INTRAUTERINE INSEMINATION (IUI)
IUI fertility treatment is particularly effective for men with slightly abnormal semen parameters, and can also benefit those with a normal semen analysis. With IUI the semen is purified and the most motile sperm are injected into the uterus. The procedure is painless – similar to a pap smear. The combination of ovulation induction with IUI is one of the most common initial steps in fertility treatment.
IN VITRO FERTILIZATION (IVF)
IVF is the most effective and most common fertility treatment today. Eggs are combined with sperm to achieve fertilization in the laboratory. To improve the embryo selection process in IVF, RMANJ developed and validated SelectCCS to screen selected embryos, identifying those with a normal number of chromosomes to implant in the uterus and supporting greater chances for a healthy pregnancy. Ask your RMANJ provider about SelectCCS.
IVF is the fertility treatment of choice for couples who experience “unexplained” infertility or if the woman suffers from tubal blockage or poor ovarian reserve. For men with abnormal semen parameters, fertilization can be improved by intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) of a single sperm into an egg.
In 2013 RMANJ donated SelectCCS to the Foundation for Embryonic Competence (FEC), a non-profit organization dedicated to improving outcomes and advancing knowledge in the areas of research, diagnosis, and education. SelectCCS is owned and operated by the Foundation for Embryonic Competence.Learn more about IVF
FERTILITY HORMONES AND INJECTIONS TREATMENT
For women who do not ovulate regularly, oral or injectable medications may be administered to support oocyte or egg development. This will stimulate the release of one or more eggs. Injections may be required over a 7 to 10 day period depending on treatment protocol and individual response. Your fertility treatment team will work closely with you during your cycle to help ensure treatment protocol instructions are followed effectively.
