Embryology Laboratory Director
Kathleen Miller, BSTS
Kathleen Miller is a board certified technical supervisor of embryology and andrology. She was formerly the Director of the Assisted Laboratories at the Southeastern Fertility Center in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina and was affiliated with the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia. Ms. Miller is responsible for all functions of the clinical laboratory, including In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), assisted hatching, Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), Testicular and Epidymal Sperm Preparation, embryo biopsy, pre-implantation genetics, Embryo cryogenics and the Quality Assurance and Quality Control programs. The author of more than 35 abstracts and papers on fertility and assisted reproduction technologies, Ms. Miller is well known for research advances in the field of blastocyst culture and transfer. She has served on the Abstract Review Committee of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine Section of Laboratory Technology and is a member of the International Embryo Transfer Society, the Alpha Embryological Society, the American Association of Bioanalysis and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.
