Bergh  

Paul A. Bergh, MD, FACOG
Dr. Bergh is a board certified reproductive endocrinologist, obstetrician and gynecologist at Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey. He is also Clinical Associate Professor, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. His areas of specialty include improving infertility diagnosis and treatment, particularly in the areas of diminished ovarian reserve, assessing embryonic competence and recurrent miscarriages. Dr. Bergh earned his medical degree from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed his fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He has authored numerous scientific articles, research papers and textbook chapters on issues in obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology. He was awarded the Berlex Resident Education Award from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and was the first recipient of the very first RESOLVE of New Jersey Zenith Award, given to recognize superior work in patient care in infertility treatment.

 

Bohrer  

Michael K. Bohrer, MD, FACOG
Dr. Bohrer, a board certified reproductive endocrinologist, obstetrician and gynecologist, also serves as Clinical Associate Professor, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Bohrer graduated from the State of New York-Downstate Medical Center and performed his internship and residency at Johns Hopkins in Maryland. He completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at UMDNJ–Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he later served as director of the IVF Program and Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences prior to joining RMA. He is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine as well as numerous other professional organizations. Dr. Bohrer has lectured extensively on contemporary reproductive endocrinology issues and is highly regarded among his peers as a knowledgeable teacher. His research interests include endometriosis, gonadotropin therapy and transvaginal sonography.

 

Drews  

Michael R. Drews, MD, FACOG
Dr. Drews is a board certified reproductive endocrinologist, obstetrician and gynecologist at Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey. He is also Clinical Associate Professor, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. His areas of specialty include IVF and improving infertility diagnosis and treatment, particularly in the areas of diminished ovarian reserve and recurrent miscarriages. Dr. Drews received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College and he completed a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at Mount Sinai Medical School. He is the author of several scientific publications and has been a contributor to many widely-used text and reference books in reproductive endocrinology. He is the recipient of the Purdue Frederick Award from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a Member Prize Paper Award from the American Fertility Society. In recognition of his outstanding work with patients, Dr. Drews received the highest honor from RESOLVE of New Jersey, the 2002 Zenith Award, and also received The American Fertility Association’s Family Building Award in October 2004.

 

Gulati  

Rita Gulati, MD, FACOG
Dr. Gulati, a board certified reproductive endocrinologist, obstetrician and gynecologist, also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Gulati was formerly the Co-Director of the West Essex Center for Advanced Reproductive Endocrinology. She completed a six year accelerated B.S./M.D. program, graduating cum laude with her bachelor’s degree in biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and her medical degree from Albany Medical School. She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Emory University School of Medicine and her fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Connecticut Health Center. During this intensive training, she focused on advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, microsurgical techniques, hormonal therapies, and advanced reproductive technologies. Her other special interests include menopause, adolescent gynecology, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), recurrent pregnancy loss therapies, and advanced reproductive technologies. Dr. Gulati maintains active staff privileges in the Ob-Gyn Departments at St. Barnabas Medical Center (Livingston, NJ) and at Morristown Memorial Hospital (Morristown, NJ), and she has published numerous scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals.

 

Hock  

Doreen L. Hock, MD, FACOG
Dr. Hock, a board certified reproductive endocrinologist, obstetrician and gynecologist, also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Hock received her medical degree and graduated with honors from UMDNJ–Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where she also performed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, completed her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. During her fellowship, she acquired extensive sub-specialty training in reproductive medicine and advanced reproductive technology, while fine-tuning her operative skills in laser laparoscopy and operative hysteroscopic procedures. In addition to advanced reproductive techniques, her special interests include polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and recurrent pregnancy loss. Dr. Hock is the author of many scientific research papers published in peer-reviewed journals, as well as chapters in textbooks on obstetrics and gynecology.

 

Kim  

Thomas J. Kim, MD, FACOG
Dr. Kim is a board certified reproductive endocrinologist, obstetrician and gynecologist who has completed extensive research in many areas of reproductive medicine. Previously, he was with CHA Fertility Center in Los Angeles. From 1998-2005 he was also Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of California, San Diego. Dr. Kim earned his MD degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and he completed his fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at the National Institutes of Health. He is the author of several scientific publications including a chapter on vitrification of human oocytes for Textbook of Assisted Reproductive Techniques. His research efforts including landmark studies of oocyte cryopreservation have been covered be leading media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine, People Magazine and The Boston Globe. Dr. Kim speaks fluent Korean. His areas of special interest include fertility preservation by vitrification of eggs, laparoscopic microsurgery including tubal reanastomosis, and endometriosis.

 

Morris  

Thomas A. Molinaro, MD, FACOG
Dr. Molinaro is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist and board eligible reproductive endocrinologist, with special expertise in assisted reproductive technology and treatment of ectopic pregnancy. Dr. Molinaro graduated from Loyola College with a degree in Biology and completed his Masters in Physiology at Georgetown University and Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology at University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He earned his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School - University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ and completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency and fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology at Hospital of The University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Molinaro is the author of many scientific research papers published in peer-reviewed journals and he received the John J. Mikuta Award for Excellence in Professionalism in Women's Health in June of 2008.

 

     
Morris  

Jamie L. Morris, MD, FACOG
Dr. Morris, a board certified reproductive endocrinologist, obstetrician and gynecologist, also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Morris has also been appointed to the newly created position of Clinical Supervisor of Academic Programs, Research and Third Party Reproduction at RMA. In this position, she provides and oversees medical services for all donors and gestational carriers. Dr. Morris completed her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, Washington, and her internship and residency programs at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, working directly with RMA’s founding partners. Dr. Morris then joined Associates in Obstetrics and Gynecology, in Livingston, NJ, where she saw patients privately. She received her B.A. in Biomedical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and her M.D. from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Morris recently held the position of Co-Chair of the Associate Members of the Society of Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility and is a member of various other medical organizations.

 

Scott  

Richard T. Scott, Jr., MD, FACOG, HCLD
Dr. Scott, a board certified reproductive endocrinologist, obstetrician and gynecologist, is one of the founding partners of Reproductive Medicine Associates. He also serves as Professor and Division Director of Reproductive Endocrinology, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Scott is also board certified by the American Board of Bioanalysis as an embryologist, andrologist, and high complexity clinical laboratory director. As director of laboratory services, he is responsible for the andrology, endocrinology, and embryology labs. This distinction makes him uniquely suited to integrate both clinical and laboratory services in a reproductive medicine practice. He completed his fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at the Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine in Norfolk, Virginia, after receiving his medical degree from the University of Virginia Medical School. Dr. Scott is a recognized leader in the areas of ovulation induction for assisted reproduction, ovarian reserve screening, oocyte donation, embryology, and preimplantation genetic screening, and non-invasive screening of embryonic reproductive competence. Dr. Scott oversees three separate embryology labs in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut, and has completed more than 20,000 in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycles. He is an award-winning researcher and author of more than 200 scientific papers and abstracts, serves as an ad hoc reviewer for more than a dozen peer review journals, and has lectured to reproductive endocrinologists throughout the U.S. and abroad. He has received more than a dozen prestigious awards for excellence in clinical and laboratory research, and is the recipient of numerous awards from leading medical groups and patient advocacy associations.

 

Scott  

Shefali Mavani Shastri, MD
Dr. Shastri is board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and has special expertise in assisted reproductive technology and hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery. Her areas of clinical interest include fertility preservation, polycystic ovarian syndrome, endometriosis, and the management of poor responders to IVF. She is a graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in Biological Sciences, received a Masters in Physiology from Georgetown University and earned her medical degree from UMDNJ – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Dr. Shastri completed both her residency and fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medical Center in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Center for Reproductive Medicine and Infertility. Her research interests include fertility implications of genetic disorders, young patients with poor response to IVF, and the use of complementary medical therapies in fertility treatment. Dr. Shastri’s research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and she has made numerous presentations to the American Society of Reproductive Medicine. During her training, she received various honors, including the “Excellence in Teaching Award” as a Chief Resident, the “Berlex Best Teaching Resident” Award and the “Outstanding House Staff Award” from the Cornell Alumni Association.
