Dr. Franasiak’s direction toward medicine was inspired by his parent’s dedication to women’s healthcare. His father as an OB/GYN and his mother a labor and delivery nurse, instilled in him early on the idea that everyone deserves to live the healthiest and fullest life possible. “This notion inspired me as a child and continues to do so today,” he says. “Helping people build happy and healthy families is so rewarding.”
Dr. Franasiak graduated from The College of William & Mary with focus in Biology and Biochemistry and at graduation was awarded the James Frederic Carr Memorial Cup for the graduate who best represents “character, leadership, and scholarship.” He went on to pursue medicine at The University of Virginia where he received his medical degree and was awarded the Shannon Z. Award for the “most well-rounded” medical student and the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award recognizing “excellence of character and service to humanity.” He completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of North Caroline at Chapel Hill where he was elected Education Administrative Chief Resident. Dr. Franasiak completed his Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship training at Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey (RMANJ) in the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson fellowship program.
“RMANJ’s success rates and scientific innovation make us unique,” says Dr. Franasiak. “Further, we focus on the whole patient here with a full 360 degrees of care. This includes everything from wellness services and counseling to a realization that patients need convenience like early morning and weekend monitoring hours. The entire team’s focus is on ensuring patients have a safe and healthy outcome. This made RMANJ the only place for me.”
