RMANJ believes that nurses are a vital part of the comprehensive care experience, which is why our team is comprised of nurses whose passion for helping patients is matched only by their commitment to staying at the forefront of reproductive medicine. Our care team is focused on you and your fertility care needs.
It’s no surprise, then, that RMANJ has been recognized as a Center of Nursing Excellence by The Executive Board of the Nurses’ Professional Group – American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM).
Sara Friedwald is an REI Nurse Coordinator in Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey’s Freehold office. When she isn’t navigating patients through the journey of infertility treatment, she is enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
From a young age Sara Friedwald has been taking it upon herself to care for others with the notion that one day she would become a nurse. She earned her associate’s degree in nursing from Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, N.J. and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Capella University in Minnesota.
After graduation, Friedwald began her nursing career in a medical surgical unit with a goal to gain hands-on experience and fulfill her passion of taking care of others. Soon after, a friend introduced her to the field of reproductive medicine and she never looked back.
“It’s amazing to see the tangible difference our team makes in the lives of the families that we work with,” she recently said.
As an REI Nurse Coordinator at RMANJ’s Freehold office, Friedwald works with patients through every step of the fertility journey from scheduling their cycles to insuring their diagnostic testing is complete.
“My goal is to help each patient navigate their treatment and to make the process as seamless as possible,” she said, “There is nothing more rewarding than watching families grow!”

Kira Nickerson is a nurse in Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey’s Freehold office. When she isn’t navigating patients through all aspects of their fertility care, she can be found snowboarding on different mountains all over the country.
From a young age Kira Nickerson had an interest in science and medicine as well as a strong desire to care for others. When it came time to choose her major in college, she decided to marry her interests and become a nurse.
Nickerson graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ramapo College of New Jersey. During college, she worked as a student extern and then as a patient care tech in a maternity ward at a local hospital. It was this experience that fostered her love of working in the women’s health field.
After graduation, she began working as a cardiac/tele nurse in order to round out her nursing experience, but it wasn’t long before she began to miss working in women’s health.
Nickerson joined the team at Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey as a nurse in our Freehold office, coordinating patients’ treatment.
When she isn’t helping create families, Nickerson enjoys snowboarding at various mountains all over the country.
