RMANJ believes that nurses are a vital part of the comprehensive care experience, which is why our team is comprised of nurses whose passion for helping patients is matched only by their commitment to staying at the forefront of reproductive medicine. Our care team is focused on you and your fertility care needs.
It’s no surprise, then, that RMANJ has been recognized as a Center of Nursing Excellence by The Executive Board of the Nurses’ Professional Group – American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM).
Merry Dutkevitch is an IVF Nurse Coordinator and the Lead Nurse at Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey’s West Orange office. When she isn’t working with patients or supporting the nursing team, she loves getting lost in a good book, spending time with her cats and window shopping.
Since she was young, Merry Dutkevitch knew that she wanted to be a nurse. Her mother had a dream to earn her nursing degree, but life got in the way of plan. So, Dutkevitch decided she would honor her mother’s dream and become a nurse herself. Little did she know, her career would one day lead her back to what she loves most, children.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in science and nursing from Trenton State College in New Jersey, and entered the field as a labor and delivery nurse at St. Barnabas Medical Center and then became the Head Nurse of Postpartum and later an IVF nurse. During her time there she befriended Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey’s founding partner, Dr. Paul Bergh. A chance encounter with Dr. Bergh at lunch one day forever changed Dutkevitch’s career.
“He was starting the IVF program at St. Barnabas and I asked him if he needed a nurse, the rest is history!” she recently said.
Later, Dutkevitch was among the original group of six nurses who joined Dr. Bergh, Dr. Richard Scott and Dr. Michael Drews when they founded RMANJ in Morristown, New Jersey.
Dutkevitch prides herself on working with an amazing reproductive team at RMANJ’s West Orange office. She holds a special place in her heart for all the patients she coordinates fertility care for and their families.
When she isn’t working, she loves reading books by her favorite author, David Baldacci, spending time with her cats, Lizzie, Lulu and Chloe, and going window shopping. She also enjoys vacationing at the Jersey Shore and in Florida.
Jill Hendricks serves as an IVF Nurse Coordinator in RMANJ’s West Orange office. A New Jersey native, Hendricks enjoys skiing and going to the beach as well as traveling with friends and family, especially her two sons.
Jill Hendricks joined Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey right out of nursing school. However, nursing is actually her third career. After graduating from Rutgers with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Hendricks worked in public relations for a New York firm before joining an IT consulting company as a Technical Recruiter. When the company she was working for was sold, she felt it was time to change fields.
“I decided that I wanted to help people and make a difference,” she said. Hendricks went on to obtain her RN degree from Mountainside Hospital School of Nursing with the intention of working in the fertility realm.
“I had fertility issues having my children and had a close friend that used an egg donor, so the fertility field caught my interest,” Hendricks recalled.
She initially served as a recipient nurse on the Third Party Team at Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey and later accepted the role as Third Party Nurse Manager. She held that position until 2012 when the Third Party Reproductive Team moved to our Basking Ridge office.
Now at the West Orange office, Hendricks serves as an IVF Nurse Coordinator. “I enjoy meeting new patients and getting to know them. Of course, knowing how much it means to patients to have a baby, it means a lot to me to support them and help them achieve their goals.”
Nicole Baumert is an IVF Nurse Coordinator at Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey’s West Orange office. When she isn’t coordinating patient treatment, she spends most of her time gardening and being outdoors with her family.
Nicole Baumert always knew that she wanted to do something meaningful that would impact the lives of people around her. She fell in love with nursing not only because it’s a challenging and caring profession but because it’s a promise to make a difference in someone else’s life.
Baumert earned her first bachelor’s degree in science from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa. She then attended the Accelerated Nursing Program at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, with honors. After graduation, she became an ICU nurse, and later took a position as a surgical nurse. Through her previous nursing roles, she became interested in reproductive medicine and decided it was time to make a career change.
She joined Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey’s West Orange office as an IVF Nurse Coordinator, where she works alongside patients to coordinate their fertility care.
“I respected RMANJ for their research and commitment to putting the patients first, always,” she said. “There’s nothing better than receiving a birth announcement of a baby we helped create!”
When she isn’t working, she spends most of her time gardening and being outdoors with her family.
Rachel Bethune is an IVF Nurse Coordinator in Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey’s West Orange office. When she isn’t coordinating patient care, she spends time outdoors hiking and camping, and traveling.
From a young age, Rachel Bethune had a strong desire to work in a field where she could help people and interact with others on a daily basis.
Originally from New Jersey, Bethune attended college at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colo., and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Soon after graduating, she enrolled at the Denver School of Nursing and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She entered the nursing field as a hospice and palliative care nurse before joining the team at Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey.
Bethune serves as an IVF Nurse Coordinator at RMANJ’s West Orange office where she supports patients through their fertility care and helps coordinate their treatment.
“We have such an accomplished team, dedicated to providing top-notch patient-centered care for all our patients,” she recently said.
When she isn’t working with patients, she enjoys being outdoors hiking and camping, as well as traveling to visit friends in Colorado and all over the country.
