If you had trouble conceiving the first time around, what should you know about getting pregnant again?
Stay healthy, think positive and, if you are considering trying again, start. It’s always good to see a fertility specialist as soon as you think about wanting to get pregnant again as you may experience difficulty conceiving again the second time around, depending on what the problem was in your first pregnancy. Some issues, like a growth in the uterine lining that was removed, may no longer be a problem at the moment, but have a likelihood of growing back. In contrast, it may be a problem that cannot get fixed and may even worsen over time such as diminished ovarian reserve which is correlated with increasing age and increasing risk of chromosomally abnormal embryos (aneuploidy).
