MEET DR. RYBAK

Dr. Eli Rybak was first introduced to the field of reproductive endocrinology as a second year medical student. His decision to pursue it as his specialty was immediate. “It was love at first sight,” he says. “I was drawn to the fact that it was an area of medicine that could make a dramatic change in a couple’s life.”

In addition to his vast medical training, Dr. Rybak also holds a Masters in Public Health and is an Ordained Orthodox Rabbi. He says that working with couples trying to become parents blends his scientific, social, and spiritual expertise in a meaningful way. “This field brings together so many interesting fields: embryology, genetics, reproduction, ethics, and social policy,” he says. “It also allows me to provide a unique level of care with an appreciation for the spiritual needs of my patients.”

Dr. Rybak says RMANJ makes an effort to accommodate the unique needs of patients from many cultures and backgrounds. As a rabbi, he sees the appreciation of the Orthodox community they serve. “We offer on-site Hashgacha and our staff is always eager to speak with Rabbonim and Dayonim in the community to assure world-class treatment that is also rigorously Al Pi Halacha.”

Dr. Rybak says the combination of personalized care, professional excellence and a never-ending quest for new information is what sets RMANJ apart from other facilities. “Better than any fertility center in the country, RMANJ epitomizes the philosophy of teaching, research, and patient care. Our reproductive endocrinology fellowship program attracts the best and the brightest in the country,” he says. “Our success rates are superb, but we continually strive to achieve that elusive 100% with a culture of excellence and intense academic inquiry.”

Dr. Rybak is a board certified Reproductive Endocrinologist, Obstetrician and Gynecologist, and serves as Clinical Assistant Professor, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences, Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He has special expertise and interests in polycystic ovarian syndrome, unexplained infertility, menstrual disorders, fertility preservation, and preimplantation genetic diagnosis.

Dr. Rybak graduated with a B.A. in Biology, summa cum laude, from Yeshiva University in NY.  He received his medical degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and his Masters in Public Health from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.  Dr. Rybak performed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Johns Hopkins, where he was awarded the prestigious Chief Resident Award for Excellence in Gynecologic Oncology.

He completed his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Montefiore Medical Center and The Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he remains an Assistant Clinical Professor. When he is not working, Dr. Rybak says he and his family like to play chess and indulge in a little thrill-seeking by riding mega roller coasters.
