Dr. James M. Hotaling has joined the RMANJ Family as our first ever in-house urologist helping to streamline our patient care for those experiencing male infertility. Dr. Hotaling comes to us from a well-respected position at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City as a board certified Urologist specializing in male infertility.
Having graduated Dartmouth College with high honors Biophysical Chemistry and History, he decided to pursue medicine, earning his medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine. Dr. Hotaling completed an internship and residency in Surgery and Urology at the University Of Washington School Of Medicine, while at the same time earning his M.S. in Epidemiology at the University Of Washington School Of Public Health. He then went on to earn a fellowship position in Urology/Andrology at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Medicine.
His experience and understanding of Urologic Conditions will further help aid and diagnose the cause of infertility in male patients. Many problems can be fixed with drugs or surgery, but this is where Dr. Hotaling’s experience and the team of physicians at RMANJ come into play. Male infertility can be caused by various reasons like blockages, birth defects, or other abnormalities. Dr. Hotaling’s focus is to deliver patient-focused care to those patients that are dealing with male infertility, with the end result of achieving the dream of becoming a parent.
Dr. Hotaling is deeply invested in research and advancing his field of urology. He has been published in over 100 peer reviewed journals, abstracts and books; and is a recognized speaker both nationally and internationally. He earned his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine in North Carolina, performed his residency in Urology at the University Of Washington School Of Medicine, and completed his fellowship in Andrology at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Medicine.
