Lauren Grabiec knew from a young age that she wanted to work in the health care field, but it was her own experience with infertility that propelled her career with Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey.
Grabiec earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Ramapo College of New Jersey. Immediately following graduation, she earned a position as a labor and delivery nurse at Chilton Hospital in Pompton Plains, N.J. While working at Chilton, she went back to school and obtained her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ).
Once she graduated from UMDNJ, she found herself unable to conceive naturally and became a fertility patient of RMANJ’s founder partner, Dr. Bergh. With her positive experience as a patient and her passion for women’s health she decided it was time to join RMANJ team. She served as a nurse practitioner on the Third Party Reproductive Team for two years.
Grabiec was then presented with the opportunity to broaden her clinical experience in women’s health and took a position as a nurse practitioner seeing OB/GYN patients at a private practice in Northern New Jersey. It wasn’t long before she decided that reproductive medicine was her true passion and came back to RMANJ as a nurse practitioner.
“Infertility will always hold a special place in my heart and I want to help others achieve the success that I had,” she said, “If there is one thing I always say to my patients it’s, ‘Don’t lose hope, it’s all worth it, I promise’.”
Grabiec not only sees patients in RMANJ’s Morristown office, she also performs ultrasounds, IUIs, endometrial biopsies, saline sonograms, and physical examinations. When she isn’t seeing patients, Grabiec enjoys spending time with her husband, 3-year-old daughter and two-year-old son.
Grabiec is a board certified women’s health advanced practice nurse, registered advanced practice nurse and a registered nurse. She is currently a member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH), and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).
