Dr. Gulati knew from the time she stepped out of high school that she wanted to go into medicine. During an accelerated six-year program to earn her bachelor’s and doctorate degrees, she discovered her interest in women’s health and a genuine fascination with fertility as a specialty area.
“I liked that there was so much going on in the field, and that it was multi-faceted,” she says. “I was drawn to the combination of the surgical and medical aspects along with the genetics component.” Dr. Gulati says RMANJ remains at the forefront by continually analyzing their practice, reevaluating all aspects of patient care, laboratory capabilities, and new technologies to make sure the couples they treat receive the world class care they expect.
“Our patients have access to first line treatments that are only talked about in literature at other clinics,” she says. “They are surrounded by research, can participate in that research, and can get their hands on new technology right away.” Guiding patients through to a healthy, successful pregnancy and delivery is what Dr. Gulati finds both professionally and personally rewarding.
“It’s probably why I enjoy gardening; I like to prepare, put all the pieces into place, and watch things develop,” she says. “I’m also so thankful for the support of my own family – my parents, husband, and children – that makes me want to help other people experience it, too.”
Dr. Gulati, a board certified Reproductive Endocrinologist, Obstetrician and Gynecologist, also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science, Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Dr. Gulati was formerly the Co-Director of the West Essex Center for Advanced Reproductive Endocrinology. She completed a six year accelerated B.S./M.D. program, graduating cum laude with her bachelor’s degree in biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and her medical degree from Albany Medical School. She completed her ONGYN residency at Emory University School of Medicine and her fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Connecticut Health Center.
